Later we will take you on a boat trip through the mangrove during the afternoon – night, where you can observe impressive crocodiles in their natural habitat. Overnight at Río Tabasco hotel or similar.

Day 4: Early bird watching in Ek Balam and visit to the cenote

Bird watching begins very early on the fourth day. We will move to the archaeological zone of Ek Balam –which means Jaguar- Star- to enjoy the species that nest there. Later you will visit and you can cool off in the impressive Cenote – the ancient ceremonial center of the Tlaol kingdom. Overnight will be in Unajil Cabins or similar.

Day 5: Early bird watching in Chichen Itza, we continue to Izamal

On this day we are moving to the Chichen Itza area for early bird watching. Nothing like observing beautiful birds with the Pyramid of Kukulcán in the background (one of the Seven Wonders of the modern world). Overnight will be in the city of Izamal, at the Itzamaltun or similar hotel.

Day 6: Early bird watching in Uxmal

On the sixth day we will move to the archaeological zone of Uxmal, whose buildings are decorated with masks of Chac – Mayan God of the rain -, frets and panels with hieroglyphics. You will be amazed by the large number of birds that you can observe with the archaeological site in the background. Overnight will be at the Uxmal Maya hotel or similar.

Day 7:Early bird watching in Edzna, Campeche

Early we continue to the ancient city of Edzná, which was the powerful regional capital of the western peninsular between 400 and 100 A.D., and built an efficient system for collecting, storing and storing rain; production was concentrated, large buildings were erected and the surrounding villages were dominated. Thus, in this area so rich in history you will observe countless birds and other species of local fauna, always with the guidance of our ornithology expert. Overnight will be at Chicanna Ecovillas Resort or similar.

Day 8: Early bird watching around Palenque

On the eighth day of this magnificent tour, we will move to the beautiful state of Chiapas, to one of the most impressive Mayan archeological sites thanks to its complex architectural and sculptural structures: Palenque. The early observation of birds will have as background ancient Mayan buildings such as the Temple of the Inscriptions (whose geographies tell the story of Pakal the Great, whose remains rested inside), the Palace (located in the central part of the area), the Temple of the Sun and the Temple of the Count. Overnight will be at Halach Huini Village or similar.

Day 9: Early bird watching in San Cristóbal

The trip is nearing its end, and we cannot ignore the visit to one of the most beautiful villages in Chiapas: San Cristóbal de las Casa. Included by the Mexican government in 2003 in the “Magical Towns” program, thanks to its architectural heritage and cultural manifestations, the cosmopolitan town (favorite of many European, Asian and North American visitors) is surrounded by mountains with dense forests, which will make early bird watching a delight. Overnight tonight will be at the picturesque Casa Mexicana or similar hotel.

Day 10: Bird watching in Chiapa de Corzo

The last day of bird watching arrived. It has been a long journey rich in history, culture, beautiful landscapes and, of course, countless bird species. It touches then the visit to what was the first capital of Chiapas, and the only city that could not be bent by the Spanish conquerors, so it has a halo of mysticism. It is surrounded by impressive mountains and has one of the piers to tour the world famous Sumidero Canyon. Bird watching will be done early having the opportunity to appreciate species such as: Sapphire of White Ears, Zopilote Aura, Fat Beak Degollado, Hummingbird Garganta Rubí, Tucancillo Collarejo, Chipe de Townsend, Parakeet Orange Face, among many others. Overnight will be at the Hotel Real Avenida or similar.

Day 11:Departure
