Day 1Arrival to Oaxaca and depart to your hotel. This wonderful city is located in the center of the central district of the State that is placed in the southern part of the country. Oaxaca, the historic home of the Zapotec and Mixtec peoples, contains more speakers of indigenous languages than any other Mexican state. Overnight in Oaxaca City.

Day 2Today you have the opportunity to get to know Oaxaca City better and join a city tour. Enjoy the highlights and most impressive buildings of this colonial town. Overnight in Oaxaca City.

Day 3Biking from Oaxaca to the archeological site of Monte Alba?n. Monte Alba?n is a large pre- Columbian archaeological site in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca. The present-day state capital Oaxaca City is located approximately 9 km (5.6 miles) east of Monte Alba?n. Visit the site and then bike towards Atzompa town where you can see the production of green clay handcrafts. After visiting the market and stores bike back to Oaxaca. Overnight in Oaxaca City. 25 km – ? 463 m ? 464 m

Day 4Biking to San Antonio Arrazola (town where many wood handcrafts are produced). Amaze yourself at the hand made art products in this town. Afterwards biking to Cuilapan where an impressive church can be seen. Follow your bicycle to Zaachila where an interesting market can be enjoyed. Finally visit the town of San Bartolo Coyotepec where the famous Oaxaca black pottery is produced. After visiting this town cycle back to Oaxaca. Overnight in Oaxaca City. 37 km – ? 140 m ?141 m

Day 5Bicycle towards El Tule tree (a huge tree located in the church grounds in the town center of Santa Mari?a del Tule), approximately 9 km east the city of Oaxaca on the road to Mitla. Follow your bicycling to Mitla town and check in your hotel. Visit the archeological site which is located in the town of San Pablo Villa de Mitla. It is famous for its pre-Columbian Mesoamerican buildings. Overnight in Mitla. 54 km – ? 495 m ? 95 m

Day 6Bike towards Hierve el Agua petrified waterfalls in the mountains. Enjoy this unique attraction and then follow to Xaaga to see prehistoric murals in the mountains also. Bicycle back to Mitla. Overnight in Mitla. 49 km – ? 1212 m ? 1212 m

Day 7Bike towards Cuajimoloyas town in the mountains. It is an uphill ride with great scenery. Van support will be available for people who do not want to climb all the way to Cuajimoloyas. On the way to Cuajimoloyas we will stop over in Teotitlan de Valle. Overnight in the cabins in Cuajimoloyas enjoying the forest. Overnight in Cuajimoloyas. 48 km – ? 1985 m ? 484 m

Day 8Bike back to Oaxaca enjoying a great downhill road. Great scenery and photo opportunities during today. On your way to Oaxaca you will pass Tlacolula town where we suggest enetering the town to enjoy the market where many things are been sold. It is just fun and interesting to see. Follow after visiting Tlacolula to Oaxaca on your bicycle. Overnight in Oaxaca City. Hotel: Francia Hotel or similar. 41 km – ? 52 m ? 167 m

Day 9Van ride Ixtlan town. After 17 km there is a long (11 km) and steep climb to La Cumbre. Finally arrive to Ecoturixtlan and enjoy staying in the cabins in the mountains. Today we will be passing along Guelatao town, the place where Benito Juarez was born. Overnight in Ecoturixtlan.

Day 10Bike to small towns Xiacui and some trout farms to catch your lunch. Enjoy optional activities in Ixtlan such as rappelling, zip line, hiking, etc. Overnight in Ecoturixtlan. 22 km – ? 573 m ? 575 m

Day 11Bike back from Ixtlan to Oaxaca so first you will have a downhill but then steep uphill to then have again downhill from. Again van support will be available. Overnight in Oaxaca City. Hotel: Francia Hotel or similar.

Day 12Relax and enjoy Oaxaca. In the afternoon city tour including visiting the Santo Domingo church, which is located next to the Santo Domingo Ex-Convent and Cultural Center. The exterior faces a large esplanade planted with row upon row of an unusual desert succulent, around and through which area run wide walkways. It is located on the corner of Alcala? and Cinco de Mayo Streets in Oaxaca City. The seat of the Dominican Order in Oaxaca since the 16th century, the Temple and ex -convent of Santo Domingo form a stately and imposing complex of amazing beauty and interest.
