Day 1.
Our staff will greet you at the airport of Oaxaca and provide transfer to Oaxaca city historic center. Free night, we suggest to visit the market Benito Juarez and November 20 or the historical center. Hotel: Casona Oaxaca or similar.
Day 2.
After breakfast we will go to Pueblos Mancomunados in the mountains of Northern Oaxaca. Food and accommodation in the cabins of Llano Grande // Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included Hotel: Llano Grande or similar.
Day 3.
We will start at4:30 a.m. an incredible expedition, with riding in the moonlight, before sunrise, crossing the mountains between pine trees to reach “El Mirador” where we enjoy an amazing sunrise. After breakfast we continue towards the Cave Church, âCueva de la Iglesiaâ a path with narrow and wide roads, we will enter the forest and enjoy the panoramic views offered by “Sierra Norte” on our way we will visit “The NeverĂa” where we can admire a beautiful lake meanwhile we will take time to picnic and rest. Continue to the “Cave of the Church” a rich variety of species of fauna and flora, finally we returned to the Community Llano Grande. Coffee, chocolate, breakfast and picnic included Hotel: Llano Grande or similar.
Day 4.
Route “Sendero Encantado”. On this route you will discover amazing trails that take you to enjoy the unique natural beauty of the Mancomunados villages. The route leads us to see beautiful waterfalls that emerge from the high mountains, it is ideal for bikers who want to discover the beginning of an endless adventure on two wheels. Continuing our expedition through the Ka-Yezzi-Daa-Vii route with a drop of 900 meters, across a variety of roads ranging from narrow to wide and along the route, we will see pine-oak and forests bromelias. This route will take us to the village of AmatlĂĄn, where we have a picnic and continue the journey along the route of the “ex-haciendas” to finish in the ecotourism center AmatlĂĄn. We will take lunch in the community of Lachatao and have time to visit the church and museum community before returning to Llano Grande Accommodation in the cabins of Llano Grande. Day 5.
An exciting cycling trail, the “Mirador la Chucharilla” route. This brings us to another community Pueblos Mancomunados Latuvi, This route is a bikers favorite for its combination of unique track and wide path on the way down you reach the river “Cara de Leon”. After our picnic we continue our bike trip along the route “Camino Real.” A prehispanic route where you can enjoy wonderful roads of rocks and dry leaves, through the ghost forests (trees covered with white moss) and rivers in the area. After lunch we will continue the tour cycling along the route “Haciendas” if you prefer you can take the photography tour of Las Haciendas to get a better knowledge of the history of the Pueblos Mancomunicados. Day 6.
After breakfast at Benito Juarez we start our mountain bike tour in the best way; thru curvaceous land of about 7 km. After arriving at the starting point of extreme descent path of great resistance, with a length of 18 km through deciduous forests and rivers to the village Tlalixtac of Cabrerara. We will end our trip in Santa MarĂa del Tule. Features of the route: 85% single track, 15% curvaceous road. Food and lodging in the city of Oaxaca. Day 7.
After breakfast we move in a van to the Oaxaca community “Assumption Nochixtlan” 1 hour approx. Here begins the bike tour to the community of Santiago Apoala en la Mixteca. There are 3 routes, choose the best according to your level. The topography is varied with not very long ups and downs but good physical condition is required. It passes through small towns; Santiago AmatlĂĄn, Fortin el Alto, San Miguel Chicahua. We will finish the route of this day in Santiago Apoala. After lunch and recovered from the trip, we will walk to a small waterfall “La Cola de la Serpiente” in Apoala to take photos or swim. Food and accommodation at La Cabaña de Apoala. Day 8.
In the morning we walk about 1 hour before having breakfast, walking upriver we reach the most impressive part of the canyon walls Apoala where more than 200 meters high, afterwards we return to the village for breakfast and prepare for departure. This day we will travel 45 kilometers with ups and downs, there is much to enjoy during our ride, as a forest, where trees full of bromeliads makes it special, panoramic views, a drop of about 25 kilometers long, On our way we visit “San Pedro Jocotipac” a city that is in full descend in the mountains with huge cactus were we will have our lunch. After lunch we return to the city of Oaxaca. Lunch, dinner and accommodation in the city of Oaxaca. 3 meals included. Hotel: Casona Oaxaca or similar.
Day 9.
To end our cycling expedition we will visit the main tourist attractions of Oaxaca. After breakfast we will go to Santa MarĂa del Tule and see the legendary ancient tree “Ahuahuete”. We will take the bikes and travel along dirt roads and see different communities, one of them is Teotitlan del Valle, famous village of weavers where Josefina and her family will give us a demonstration of traditional art of this city. 3 meals included. Hotel: Casona Oaxaca or similar.
Day 10.
After breakfast you will be brought to the airport for your flight back home. Breakfast included.
