The Yucatan peninsula in Mexico is famous for many things. Nature lovers usually know it because of the great diving in Cozumel or the Cenotes.

Some will come to dive with bull sharks or swim with manta rays, whale sharks or even with sailfish. Of course, most of the people come only to lay in the sun, visit some eco-parks and spend some time at one of the beautiful beaches.

The Yucatan Peninsula is home to over 180 species of reptiles and amphibians. This includes two species of crocodiles, three species of iguanas and many snake species.

This is why we set up the ultimate nature tour in the peninsula with a scientific approach. No, you can go on a one-week long trip organized to find as many species of reptiles as possible. With special attention to the following species:

  • American crocodile
  • Morelets crocodile
  • Tropical rat snake (hunting bats inside a cave inside the jungle)
  • Green turtle (snorkel with them in Akumal )
  • Iguanas and other lizards (like basilisks and banded geckos)
  • As many snake species as possible!
